Tahdhīb al-manṭiq

Completed in Samarqand in Rajab 789/July–Aug 1387 (GAL; Kashf al-ẓunūn gives 789; TDV and al-Turkmānī: Samarqand). Two parts, logic and kalām; the kalām part abridges al-Taftāzānī’s al-Maqāṣid (Kashf). Incipit al-ḥamdu li-llāhi lladhī hadānā sawāʾa l-ṭarīq. The logic part also circulated alone. The TDV counts more than fifty commentaries and glosses in library records. The Lucknow attribution of the Nāmī press print is not stated in the catalogue record.

Region inferred from the nisba (Khabīṣ, a town in Kirman), not stated in the sources consulted; the identity of the ʿAbd al-Laṭīf Khān of the preface is not settled. A complete commentary on both the logic and the kalām parts by a holder of an ijāza from Ṣadr al-Dīn al-Dashtakī, with a commendation by Ghiyāth al-Dīn Manṣūr al-Dashtakī (al-Turkmānī, after al-Dharīʿa).
