هِدَايَةُ الحِكْمَةِ

Hidāyat al-ḥikma

al-Abharī · d. 663/1265

A short handbook of philosophy in three parts — logic, natural philosophy and metaphysics — which, like the Īsāghūjī, was read as a madrasa textbook for centuries. The best-known commentaries are those of Qāḍī Mīr al-Maybudī and Mullā Ṣadrā, with glosses by Muṣliḥ al-Dīn al-Lārī and others, and al-Jurjānī glossed Ibn Mubārakshāh's commentary on it. The logic part also circulated in a Persian version (Manṭiq al-Hidāya).
