Details and sources
Quoted by all the early commentators, by the earliest two with little attribution. Ahmed thinks it may have been written together with the text as a teaching companion and that it was meant to guide later commentators rather than solve the book’s difficulties; he quotes it on what makes a mental consideration true fī nafs al-amr. No print was found.

- commentary Sharḥ Sullam al-ʿulūm (Taṣdīqāt; known as ‘Ḥamd Allāh’) شرح سلم العلوم — Ḥamd Allāh b. Shukr Allāh al-Ṣiddīqī al-Sandīlawī حمد الله بن شكر الله السنديلوي (1160/1747 (Delhi))
Details and sources
Covers only the part on assents; ʿArshī reports a very small part on the Taṣawwurāt, which Ahmed could not verify. Undated, but after Mubārak’s and in conversation with it. Nuzhat calls it the author’s most famous work, put into the teaching programme. The gateway to the Taṣdīqāt and the most glossed of all Sullam commentaries; an early self-commentary survives in the margins of early copies (Ahmed).

Details and sources
Completed 1200/1786, at the request of his nephew Walī Allāh (Ahmed). Covers the whole Sullam and the debates around it; ‘arguably the most lucid and extended exposition’ (Ahmed), and for that reason little used in class (the pun ‘Mubīnrā mabīn chūn mubīn’). Details and sources
Written in the author’s youth, probably in Lucknow before ca. 1167/1754. Received practically no glosses from teachers; Ahmed thinks its later standing owes much to print. Engages ontology heavily and refers to his metaphysical work al-ʿUjāla al-nāfiʿa.
