Qızıl Ījāz

Said Nursi · d. 1379/1960

A very concise Arabic commentary on al-Akhḍarī’s Sullam by Bediüzzaman Said Nursi, from the period before his Risale-i Nur. It was printed in Istanbul in 1339/1920–21 and soon gathered its own notes: his brother Molla Abdülmecid Nursi and Molla Sadreddin Yüksel added taʿlīqāt, which Molla Musa Celâlî later collected and expanded into a separate book. Several Turkish translations followed, which Geçit takes as evidence of its importance. It shows the Sullam still producing new commentary in the twentieth century.
