Ḥāshiyat al-ʿAṭṭār ʿalā Sharḥ al-Khabīṣī
Ḥasan al-ʿAṭṭār · d. 1250/1834
A gloss by Ḥasan al-ʿAṭṭār, later Shaykh al-Azhar, on ʿUbayd Allāh al-Khabīṣī’s al-Tadhhīb, the commentary through which al-Taftāzānī’s Tahdhīb al-manṭiq was usually read in Egypt. The Cairo printing of 1318 sets it beside the earlier gloss of Muḥammad ʿAlī al-Ḥajarī (Ibn Saʿīd) in the margin. It shows how the Tahdhīb was read at al-Azhar at the level of glosses, after the matn and a commentary.
