Ḥāshiya ʿalā Lawāmiʿ al-asrār

Al-Jurjānī's gloss on Quṭb al-Dīn al-Rāzī's commentary on al-Urmawī's Maṭāliʿ al-anwār, the work with which he first made his name as a young scholar. It became the usual companion of the Lawāmiʿ in advanced teaching and generated a long series of super-glosses. Ṣadr al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī wrote a rival gloss, and Mīr Ghiyāth al-Dīn Manṣūr adjudicated between the two in his Muḥākamāt. It is the summit of the fourteenth-century commentary tradition on the larger handbooks.
