تَعَالِيقُ ابْنِ بَاجَّةَ عَلَى مَنْطِقِ الفَارَابِيِّ

Taʿālīq Ibn Bājja ʿalā manṭiq al-Fārābī

Ibn Bājja · d. 533/1139

Ibn Bājja (Avempace) wrote glosses on a large part of al-Fārābī's logical corpus: his Īsāghūjī and al-Fuṣūl al-khamsa, the Categories, De interpretatione, the Analytics and the Burhān. They show the Farabian logic arriving in al-Andalus and being studied closely there a generation before Ibn Rushd. They are the main witness to the Andalusian logical tradition that Ibn Rushd inherited.
