لَوَامِعُ الأَسْرَارِ فِي شَرْحِ مَطَالِعِ الأَنْوَارِ

Lawāmiʿ al-asrār

Quṭb al-Dīn al-Rāzī · d. 766/1365

Quṭb al-Dīn al-Rāzī's broad commentary on al-Urmawī's Maṭāliʿ al-anwār, dedicated to the vizier Ghiyāth al-Dīn Muḥammad, son of Rashīd al-Dīn. It became the gateway commentary through which the Maṭāliʿ was studied, usually with al-Jurjānī's gloss, which in turn drew many super-glosses; Ṣadr al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī also glossed it, and Mīr Ghiyāth al-Dīn Manṣūr weighed the two glosses against each other in his Muḥākamāt. Its section on the natural universal is also cited in later debates on existence and quiddity.
