al-Mūjaz fī al-manṭiq

A short handbook of logic by al-Khūnajī, the middle one of his three logic works. Ibn Khaldūn, who knew it as Mukhtaṣar al-Mūjaz, calls it good as a textbook. It drew commentaries, among them one by Ibn al-Badīʿ al-Bandahī in the thirteenth century and al-Īḍāḥ by ʿĪsā b. Dāwūd al-Manṭiqī. It shows how the doctrines of the Kashf al-asrār were packed into a teaching text before the Shamsiyya took over that role.
